Dear Prep Families, As a result of yesterday’s two COVID cases and an additional case reported today, our building is CLOSED tomorrow, April 8th. As always, ALL students will learn remotely on Friday. There will be no in person learning for the rest of this week. This means that Thursday AND Friday, ALL students in ALL groups will learn from HOME. We want to assure you that our COVID-19 safety protocols continue to remain in place, and we are taking the appropriate steps to ensure our school community is protected. Here is what happens next:

All students will learn from home on Thursday and Friday. Like always, students should check their email at 9 am each morning. There will be a link to their remote schedule for the day.

During this closure, the DOE will investigate, and the DOE and Prep admin team will continue to reach out to anyone who has come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. At this time, all students who have been in contact and need to quarantine have already been notified.
We expect to know when we can return to in person learning by tomorrow evening. We will let you know as soon as we know more.
For families who are REMOTE ONLY, but are interested in opting their student into IN PERSON learning, a reminder that the deadline to complete the Learning Preference Survey has been extended to Friday, April 9th. Click here to fill out: https://www.nycenet.edu/surveys/learningpreference
- NOTE: If you do NOT want to make any changes to your child’s remote or in-person status, you do NOT need to take any action!
- We know this is a strange time to remind you of opting in (we are closed again!), but we don’t want any family to miss the opportunity to return if you want to.

This continues to be a rocky path, and we remain grateful to you all for staying the course with us as we navigate continued closure and strive to keep our entire school community safe.
