Lea a continuación este mensaje en español. 请阅读下面的中文消息。 -- Dear Prep Families, We are writing to let you know that two additional cases of COVID-19 have been reported at our school building, and as a result, our building is CLOSED for in person learning for the rest of this week. This means that tomorrow, Thursday, AND Friday, ALL students in ALL groups will learn from HOME. While we know this is certainly serious news, we want to assure you that our COVID-19 safety protocols have been activated, and we are taking the appropriate steps to ensure our school community is protected. Here is what happens next:

All students will learn from home on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Like always, students should check their email at 9 am each morning. There will be a link to their remote schedule for the day.
During this closure, the DOE will investigate, and the DOE and Prep admin team will reach out to anyone who has come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Please be reminded that Spring Break for all students in NYC is Monday, March 29 - Friday, April 2. There is NO SCHOOL during this week. If you have been asked to quarantine or get a COVID test, please follow guidelines over break.
We will return to in person learning on Monday, April 5th.
- Mondays and Wednesdays: Group B
- Tuesdays and Thursdays: Group A
- Fridays: Remote only all groups (Groups A, B, and D)
Before we return to in person learning, we ask that all families take extra precautions to stay safe over Spring Break, to get free COVID tests to be sure that students are ready to return, and to monitor student’s health at home. We must all work diligently to keep our school community safe and protected, so that we can return to the building and stay open!

This has been a tough week for students, families, and staff coming in person to Prep. We are very sorry to be missing out on this time in the building with students, but we remain hopeful that better times and more consistency lies ahead. Thank you for continuing to endure the unknown with us, and taking the necessary precautions as we strive to keep all members of our school community safe. We really appreciate you.
