We are very excited to share that this week CFL's Life Lines Community Arts Project presents "Hello, Universe." We hope you will be able to join us on Thursday, December 9th at 5:00pm or Friday, December 10th at 7:00pm to see what our students have been working so hard on for the past few months!
"Hello, Universe" is an original adaptation of the young adult novel by Erin Entrada Kelly and follows a constellation of middle school students in a tale of fate, friendship, and folklore. Introverted Virgilio Salinas wants to break out of his shell and enlists the clairvoyant Tanaka sisters to aid him in his mission. Along the way he finds himself in a fantastical forest, stumbling across obstacles that test his courage and hope. When unexpected friends - both human and other worldly - rally to support him, Virgilio learns that he is not at all alone: our stories are interconnected, and by standing together, we find power within ourselves.
