Happy Wednesday! We are writing with a few quick reminders and important updates:

2. Parent Survey due THIS FRIDAY! Every year, the Department of Education asks families to share their thoughts on their child’s school. Deadline is FRIDAY, June 18th to complete. Directions are below!

4. Our 8th grade activities are in full swing next week. Please see below for reminders about 8th grade activities and events!

School Survey
Every year, the Department of Education asks families to share their perspective on their child’s school. We would love for you to share your thoughts and feelings about Prep! The deadline to complete this survey is currently THIS FRIDAY, June 18th.. Here is how you do it:
1. Families can take the survey online via computer or mobile device
3. It will ask for your “access code.” Your access code is the letter “f” followed by their child’s nine-digit Student Identification (OSIS) Number. Note that “f” must be lowercase. Families can find their child’s Student Identification (OSIS) Number on their report card, student ID card, or NYCSA account.
Need your student’s OSIS, help logging in to the survey, or help completing it? You can contact Ms. Deliz at edeliz@schools.nyc.gov or by phone at 646-942-3106. She can help!
What happens with student technology at the end of the year?
Our rising 7th and 8th graders: Students attending Prep next school year will KEEP their technology during the summer and next school year to use at HOME.
· While all students will attend IN PERSON school in 2021-2022, we believe it is essential for students to be able to access their assignments at home, and we want to make sure all students have what they need.
· Is your student’s technology not working? Stay tuned! We will have more information later in the summer about what to do to get your student a working device for 2021-2022.
Our graduating 8th graders: ALL graduating students MUST turn in their technology to Prep on Monday, June 28th. Your student may come to the front entrance on 4th avenue during the following times on 6/28:
· 10 am - 12 pm
· 12:30 pm - 2 pm
*Please note that your child must turn in their technology in order to receive their diploma.
*If your student is mandated to attend Summer Rising to move on to high school, they should keep their technology for the summer, and they will receive more instructions about turning it in and getting their diploma in August.
8th Grade Events and Reminders
Next week, all 8th grade students will learn from home EXCEPT on the days we have scheduled in-person celebrations for their class! Students will still have events and celebrations to attend all week online, including:
Monday, June 21st - 801, 804, and 806 are invited to an IN PERSON graduation party at Prep (outside) from 12:45 - 2:25 pm. All classes not in person and students unable to attend will be at an online celebration.
Tuesday, June 22nd - 802, 803, and 805 are invited to an IN PERSON graduation party at Prep (outside) from 12:45 - 2:25 pm. All classes not in person and students unable to attend will be at an online celebration.
On Wednesday, students will have meetings, celebrations, and announcements as they prepare for graduation. Students will get information about the day throughout the week, and in their morning emails.
Virtual Graduation Ceremony: Thursday, June 24 @ 1pm
Prep will be hosting a virtual graduation ceremony for all 8th graders, and their families, on Thursday, June 24th at 1 pm. The link to attend will be shared with all grade 8 students and families next week. Stay tuned!

Encuesta escolar
