Dear Prep families,
We are excited to share more information regarding Prep’s remote-learning plan for your student!
On Monday, March 23rd, your student will have access to digital assignments from all their teachers. If your child needs technology to be able to complete their work at home, Prep will be loaning computers to students. These items will be available for pick up on Thursday (3/19), and Friday (3/20). See more details regarding our remote-learning plan, and technology check-out schedule below!
Fast Facts about Prep’s Remote-Learning Plan:
Beginning Monday, March 23rd, all Prep students will be able to access their digital assignments on Google Classroom using their Prep-issued gmail address.
The BEST part: Your child has already been using their gmail address, and Google Classroom, at Prep during the regular school year! They are well trained in how to access these systems.
Because we value face-to-face contact with kids, and because we want to ensure students we are still there for them, your student will get an opportunity to digitally “see” at least one staff member EVERY DAY!
Your child has been assigned an advisor!
Their advisor is a Prep staff member that has worked closely with your student this school year. Your child can expect a digital reach out from their advisor every Wednesday. This is a great time for your student to ask questions, and get more specific directions on assignments, and due dates!
The Shape of the Week:
Every Monday morning, new assignments will be posted on your student’s Prep Google Classrooms (accessed through their Prep gmail account!).
Every Wednesday, teachers will be updating their online gradebooks on Pupilpath so your student can stay on top of their grades.

Every Friday afternoon (no later than 3pm), students must make sure that all of their assignments for the week are complete, and submitted.

Details for Technology Pick Up at Prep:
Thank you to all students and families who came to one of our two tech pick-up sessions this week!
If you were unable to attend one of those sessions, and your student does not have access to technology at home, we can tentatively offer the following day and time to pick up a school-issued computer to borrow for the duration of school closure.
*Please note that as we receive more guidance regarding building closures and COVID-19 precautions from New York State, and New York City, we may need to postpone/cancel this session. Grab and Go Breakfast and Lunch is Available! Students and their families are welcome to pick up a grab-and-go breakfast and/or lunch Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 1:30 pm. Please use our building’s front entrance on 4th Avenue.
Free books for students to read! If your child needs a books to read for independent reading, we have books available for pick-up Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 1:30 pm. Please use our building’s front entrance on 4th Avenue.
Need access to additional, printed resources? We have student packets in ELA and Math available for pick-up Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 1:30 pm. Please use our building’s front entrance on 4th Avenue.
